You do not need a coupon to buy a convertor, and you can probably get a decent, although not as good a deal without one. If you are buying it retail, you will need the physical card.
go on line to dtvanswers.com and they will send you one. you can get a box at sears for about 40 bucks with the gift card. they probably wont have a good sale on them on black friday
